On October 17, the monthly online meeting of the Erasmus+ project “Mobil Program for Youth Learners” (MoPYL) was held. Every meeting with partners, even if not in person, is like a small celebration. Discussing the progress of the project and the work that each of the parties has invested in order to fulfill the idea and purpose of the project with content makes the project alive and meaningful.

Inspired and ready to inspire – with such “after” feelings, the 3-day training course for Latvian, Spanish and Romanian youth leaders, i.e. specialists, educators, employees, whose everyday life is connected with youth, ended. The training took place in the Erasmus+ project “Mobil Program for Youth Learners” (MoPYL) and was conducted online by leadership expert Peter Acton. In order to be able to convey the power and inspiration that the participants gained during these three days, we must first tell about the inspirer himself.

“I have made new friends”, “I can be open”, “everyone is friendly and responsive”, “no one laughs at each other”, “we find common interests”, “we work as a team”, “it was fun”, “I like games and dances” – these are just some of the young people’s opinions about the mobility that took place in the Erasmus+ project “Mobile Program for Youth Learners” (MoPYL).

As the summer matures, and so does the MoPYL team, the work of the Erasmus + project “Mobil Program for Youth Learners” is as vibrant and creative as the processes in nature. On June 14, meeting online, the project partners from Latvia, Romania and Spain discussed the current state of project implementation.

“Face-to-face work is an invaluable and valuable resource in the project implementation process, it cannot be replaced by meeting screens,” looking back at the 2nd transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ project “Mobile Program for Youth Learners” (MoPYL), which took place in the Spanish city of Zaragoza on May 4 and 5”, says its leader Sandija Zaļupe. This conclusion is also confirmed by the representatives of the project partners Colegio San Gabriel Zuera and the Scout Society of Romania, admitting that various technical issues and the outcome of the project have been discussed several times online, but a full understanding of the solutions can only be obtained by meeting face to face.
